Most recently seen on NBC’s The Voice, Julia Cooper is back home for a few short months and very excited to be back at Birdfish. This will be a night of original music in the Ballroom. This is a ticketed event happening Wednesday, January 13th with doors/seating beginning at 6:30pm and music starting at 7PM. Julia is a singer/songwriter often fusing elements of golden age jazz and folk sounds to create her unique original songs.
Opening for Julia is Joe Alessi and Mike Robinson of The Diggers, who have been pursuing their passion for music and playing locally for a few years. They will be playing originals that are a mix of country rock and bluegrass.
Prior to March 2020, we’ve had local live musicians perform at our original location every Friday & Saturday since opening in 2015. It has been difficult to support local musicians in 2020 during this pandemic, but with our recent taproom expansion a.k.a. “The Ballroom” we have come up with a way to section off this area for special events and effectively manage group size, while maintaining social distancing and following other State mandated rules.
Due to State mandated social distancing requirements and for the health and safety of our customers and staff we will be setting up the Ballroom performance area with tables and seats properly spaced. Tickets will be sold in groups of 4 & 6 and must be purchased in full to align with seating availability. If you purchase a ticket for 4 or 6 people, your group must sit together upon arrival.
You can purchase a table/tickets here: Julia Cooper
100% of ticket proceeds will go to the musicians. If you know of other local musicians that can fill a 2 hour set of original music and would like to be considered for a Ballroom performance in the future, please have them email info@birdfishbrew.com #supportlocalmusic
Julia Cooper will be donating a portion of the proceeds from this event to Youngstown’s Beatitude House.
