Black Wolf & the Thief is a keyboard & percussion driven trio from Warren, OH with a funky, hard hitting, unique sound all of its own. The combination of Carolyn’s soulful, virtuosic voice & poetic lyricism and Clay’s aggressive, jazz-influenced piano playing makes a fresh blend of original music that marries the beauty of classical, the harmonies of jazz, & the hard edge of rock. The keyboard driven trio fuses the sonic landscape of bands like The Doors & Jefferson Airplane with the more eclectic, electronic sounds of modern bands like Florence + the Machine, Glass Animals, & MGMT. While the rest of the world embraced Bluetooth and streaming, these two stayed behind in a wood-paneled subterranean kingdom to guard the sacred holy trinity: cold Mickey’s Big Mouths, a fresh pack of Swisher Sweets, and original vinyl pressings cranked loud enough to rattle the lava lamp. Bathed in the warm glow of silver-face stereo VU meters and surrounded by wall-to-wall shag carpet, they spend their days arguing over whether the Michael Stanley Band's Strike Up the Band beats Donnie Iris screaming "Ah! Leah!", all while keeping a nod ready for Red Rider's "Lunatic Fringe" when the mood turns edgy. With a brick-sized cordless phone waiting on a call from a long-defunct video store, Jeff and Ken aren't just stuck in the past—they’re running a hilarious, high-decibel NE Ohio resistance movement against the modern age.

The Feral Cats are a band from Youngstown, Ohio. Established in 2016, The Feral Cats are comprised of a talented group of adults with disabilities. They have performed at many local events including First Night Youngstown, Canfield Fair, Greater Youngstown Italian Fest, Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts and Varsity Club. The band sings a wide variety of music spanning from the 1950s to present-day, along with a number of original tunes. Their self-titled debut album P.C.M.C. In 2021, Jim and Jonny opened a second location in Franklin Park, PA. This location boasted nine lesson rooms and a great location. In order to do so, they doubled the staff. It was at this time that Paul Macedonia joined the team.

2022 saw the naissance of the very popular Noteworthy Music Rock School program, headed up by Paul Macedonia.

In 2023, they further expanded by opening their newest Valencia location and moving the corporate operation there. Just up the road from their long-time Valencia location, the new facility boasts four additional lesson rooms, an expanded percussion room, a break room, and a 1000 square foot performance venue/ event room.

Together, they continue to operate Noteworthy Music as a family business, focusing on the customer and fulfilling the mission established by Janet and Bob over thirty years ago.

With the melodic and punchy vocals of Eres Schomaeker, raw guitar stylings of Haylan Haught, driving bass rhythms of Lila Hopwood, and dynamic drumming of Jonah Mancini, the four come together to cover bands such as All Time Low, The Cranberries, and Three Days Grace.

We’re donating $1 per per poured during the event to our Golden String Friends. Golden String will pass around an old Folger’s coffee can to support St. Jude’s Hospital in Tennessee. Golden String client, Susan Cramer, collects loose change for St. Jude’s. Susan, a friend with cerebral palsy, a woman with severe physical disabilities, rolls the change and sends it to Tennessee. Riley Burke Band is an indie-pop/rock band hailing from Youngstown, OH. Songstress Riley Burke’s captivating lyricism and powerful voice join forces with Lance Batton (drums), John Martin (keyboard), Quentin Melnick (guitar), and Matthew Striewski (bass) to create an eclectic full-band sound, with tinges of folk, americana and grunge in the mix. The end result is heartful songwriting inspired by that of Lizzy McAlpine, Taylor Swift and Sara Barielles, fused together with the grit of rock artists like Led Zeppelin, Alanis Morisette, and No Doubt. Riley Burke Band’s debut album will be released this fall, with singles “Getting Used to You” and “Love Me Too” coming out this summer.
