“Drink heavily with locals whenever possible.” —Anthony Bourdain

  • Cacio E Pepe Arancini (Risotto Balls), Crispy fried Italian rice balls featuring the classic Roman pasta flavors of Pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper. "Could be the greatest thing in the history of the world.” —Anthony Bourdain

  • Anthony Bourdain's favorite sandwich is a simple mortadella sandwich made with just five ingredients: a fresh roll, mortadella, provolone cheese, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard. Mortadella and provolone from Canton Importing.

  • BBQ Special TBA, "Barbecue may not be the road to world peace, but it's a start." — Anthony Bourdain

  • Les Halles Steak Frites

  • Halo Burger

  • Poke Bowl

  • California Roll in a Bowl

  • Other menu items TBA

Grab lunch/dinner, beers on the patio, and enjoy live music from 12 O’Clock Tribe from 1-3PM followed by Larry Elefante SOLO from 4-6PM. A Movable Feast Food Truck and A Movable Parad-ICE Gourmet Shaved Ice Truck will be setup on the patio all day serving from 12-7PM.

We’re releasing a NEW beer this year for #BourdainDay2026 — ‘No Ryeservations’ 6.3% Pumpernickel Rye Ale brewed with flaked rye, blackstrap molasses, and caraway seed. Aromas of baked bread and warm spice lead into an earthy, subtle sweetness, finishing with a firm kick of rye spice. Available on tap starting Sunday, June 28th at Noon and also available in 12 oz. cans (6-pack) this year with can label design by our own Mackenzie Garasic (Instagram: @mackkshaff_creative).

Optional Bourdain Day 2026 Rastal 0.5 L Craft Master Taste glass inclusive with the Pumpernickel Rye Ale. We will have 144 glasses available with artwork from Mackenzie Garasic (Instagram: @mackkshaff_creative), which includes a 0.5 L (21 oz. brimful) pour of beer.

We will be donating a portion of proceeds from the No Ryeservations in-house draft sales, glass inclusive sales, to-go can sales, and event tee shirt sales to both NAMI Mahoning Valley and the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. Additionally, A Movable Feast and A Movable Parad-ICE will be donating 25% of food sales to NAMI Mahoning Valley.

The format of a “round” has three songwriters on stage. One performs a song, followed by the next writer, and the next, and so on. Each songwriter can join in with the others, add harmonies, contribute a guitar riff, or just listen. Writers talk about how and why they wrote the songs, and there are always lively stories and interaction between the writers, and audience.

Here’s this year’s Cowtown schedule:

  • 1:00 - 2:15 p.m. Ryan Blakeman, Carl Besece, Dave Smith

  • 2:30 - 3:45 p.m. Taylor Borton, Cora Reef, Molly Maltempi

  • 4:00 - 5:15 p.m. Leo D’Angelo, Carl Besece, Dave Smith

  • 5:30 - 6:45 p.m. Ryan Blakeman, Taylor Borton, Cora Reef

  • 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Ryan Blakeman, Dave Smith

Several of the songwriters performing have written and performed extensively in Nashville, Tennessee.

We have 3 food trucks scheduled for the event: Bartell's Take on Tokyo House, Frytanic & Totally 80's Ice Cream will be setup on the patio all day serving from 12-9 p.m.

Homestead on The Ridge Organic Plant Sale Pop-Up on the Patio

Still looking for something unique to add to your garden this year?

Come see us this Friday, May 29th from 3–7pm at Birdfish Brewery in Columbiana for our organic plant sale!

We’re Zac and Astrid Strong from Homestead on The Ridge, and since 2023 we’ve been growing organic plant starts right at our 1850 farmhouse. We love picking unique heirloom varieties — the kind you usually won’t find at regular greenhouses or garden stores.

Most of our seeds come from Baker Creek Seeds, and we’re especially excited to share some fun varieties, including a little piece of Astrid’s Peruvian roots with plants like Aguaymantos.

We’ll have tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, herbs, flowers, and more!

Grab a beer, cocktail, cider, or wine from the bar, walk through the plants, and maybe find something new for your garden. We’d love to see you there!

Its sleek, angular bowl unlocks full aroma and flavor, while the thin laser-cut rim and seamless pulled stem deliver elegance that feels as good as it look.

We don’t take reservations, but we have plenty of seating in our front taproom, ballroom, and two patios!

Pair up your glass of wine with Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck for a Lobster Roll… try both lobster roll styles: the Maine roll, which is chilled with mayo, and the Connecticut roll, which is warm with butter and lemon.

Sign up with Logan Grimm Beauty for your Permanent Jewelry time slot then head to the Ballroom for live music with Kristopher Ferrell from 2-5 p.m. — Solo artist, Kristopher Ferrell, performing hits from 50s to 2020's and also originals! Star Wars Day 2026 | May The 4th Be With You

Sup C3P-BRO!? Join us Monday, May 4th for Star Wars Day and the annual release of Space Candy, our 7.7% ABV Double IPA intensely dry hopped with Lotus, once known as X06297 experimental hop variety. This hazy, super juicy DIPA is blasted full of notes of pineapple and other citrus fruits with creamy tropical flavors that leave hints of mango and paw paw fruit.

“Beep, Bloop, Blop, Bleep, Boop.” Roughly translated… This is the beer you’re looking for. In addition to Space Candy, we’re releasing a NEW Small Batch Beer when we open at 4 p.m. — Introducing, “Droid Oil”, Black IPA brewed with Simcoe and double dry hopped with Amarillo and Citra hops.

The first 100 Space Candy or Droid Oil in-house pours will have the option for a ceramic BEER2 or K3G8 droid style cup/mug. These custom hand thrown commemorative and functional works of art were made locally by Raven Hanley Ceramics — Limit 1 per person.

DJ Aka is kicking off the party with some galactic beats starting at 4 p.m. De-Lisha’s, Auntie Anne’s & Totally 80’s Ice Cream will all be setup on the patio serving from 4-9 p.m.

Warm up the ‘ol vocal cords when you arrive and meet Darth & Mando in the Ballroom at 5:45 p.m. for our 3nd Annual Wookiee / Chewbacca call contest. Prizes to top 3 finishers.

Live music from The Modernes in the Ballroom from 6 to 8 p.m. The Modernes are an Americana, Roots and Surf Rock band from Akron, Ohio. They bring a high flying guitar forward act to the stage. Their sound has been described as a vigorous, vibrant form of amped-up Americana, which incorporates a host of different styles from surf and rockabilly to exuberant roots rock. It’s an intoxicating blend, which is as much fun for the listener as it sounds to be for the band.

Come dressed in your favorite Star Wars costume for a chance to win some great prizes. Darth Tanner, Jugolorian & Stormtrooper GS-066 will be organizing a costume contest this year in the Ballroom in between The Modernes sets. If you wish to enter in the costume contest, meet Mando at 7 p.m. in the Ballroom.

Your “Buds” at Birdfish would like to share some plants with you! Birdfish Buds stand started last year at our 2025 Earth Day celebration and is still setup in the taproom. The goal of the Birdfish Buds plant stand is for anyone to bring in some of their own plant ‘babies’ and to share with others.  The Birdfish Buds stand will continue this year at Birdfish for you to bring in your propagated plants to share, as well as take a new bud home to love.

Tansy Recycling is joining us this year on the patio (weather permitting) selling plant pots and other products made from recycled plastic. On Saturday, April 18th starting at 2PM, Birdfish Brewing Company and Noble Creature Wild Ales & Lagers are rolling into The Draught House with 8 beers total — four from each crew. See lineup below:

Expect a stacked lineup of fresh pours, brewery reps on site, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile. We’ll be hanging out, talking beer, and handing out some swag (stickers, sunglasses, keychains, and maybe even some shirts!) to anyone drinking along with us.

  • “11” English Pale Ale 4.5%. New collab with Craft Collective in Shaker Heights, OH. Brewed with Marris Otter and house English Ale yeast and hopped with Challenger & Bramling Cross.

  • “Basement Darts” ESB 5.5%. A well balanced pub ale with a touch of nuttiness, floral & spicy hop character, and a bready malt sweetness

  • “Jelly” Imperial Fruited Sour with Vanilla 7%. A pleasantly sweet & sour ale loaded with a silky amount of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry plus fresh vanilla bean.

Birdfish Lineup:

  • “Wandering Kind” West Coast IPA brewed with Comet and Strata hops 6.5%

No cover. Just good beer and good people.

4th Annual Greek Independence Day Celebration

GREEK INDEPENDENCE DAY

Birdfish | 2.5 Greeks | Canton Importing | Ethos

Greek Independence Day is about heritage, pride, family, food, music, and community — and we’re bringing all of it together under one roof for a day that feels more like a festival than just another Saturday at the brewery.

From traditional street food and a pop-up Mediterranean market to live Greek music in the Ballroom, this is a celebration of culture done the Birdfish way — loud, welcoming, and built around bringing people together.

We’re inviting friends from Western PA, NE Ohio, and right here in the Mahoning Valley to join us as we celebrate Greek heritage with incredible food, authentic music, and cold beer flowing all day long.

Come hungry.
Come ready to dance.
Come celebrate.

Opa!

Two & A Half Greeks Food Truck

  • Setup on the patio and serving all day 12-9pm

  • This family owned and operated Food Truck from Pittsburgh offers traditional Greek street food… sometimes with a twist, but it’s all great! Theo, Alex, Thomas and their family members will be in the truck and hanging all day - bring them a beer to the truck as they prepare some amazing food for y’all! Read more about this crew here: https://www.2andahalfgreeks.com/

Canton Importing Pop-Up Market

  • We’re stoked to welcome our friends from Canton Importing this year, who’ll be set up all afternoon for our Greek Independence Day celebration!

  • Owners Justin & Maria and her family, who are proud of their Greek heritage, will be bringing a taste of the Mediterranean right to the brewery with a pop-up mini Greek market. Expect shelves stocked with imported olives, specialty cheeses and meats, fresh pastas, traditional Greek coffee, barrel-aged feta, and hard-to-find specialty Greek foods that you won’t see at your average grocery store.

  • Canton Importing has been a staple for over 60 years—a Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern grocery and gift shop located (you guessed it) in Canton, Ohio. Beyond the incredible food selection, they also carry international beers, and wines, cookbooks, kitchen tools, and unique gifts.

  • Learn more: https://www.cantonimporting.com/

Ethos - Live Music

  • Live music in the Ballroom from 2-6 p.m. with Ethos, a Greek band based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Inspired by their shared Greek heritage and motivated to keep the Greek music tradition alive and thriving in the United States for future generations. Nick Riley (Bouzouki), William Gary (Keys/Vocals), and Spiros Kourouklis (Percussion) play a mix of traditional and popular Greek music. They use their passion for the Greek music tradition to help maintain and continue to build the Greek community in America by bringing people together as they celebrate their shared culture & heritage.
