Every Sunday we have Strings #sundaystrings and this Father’s Day we welcome Mike Dunfee from 2-4pm to play in the Ballroom. Mike Dunfee is a ‘one man band’, playing guitar, singing, and foot drumming a mix of rock and pop hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s; he puts his own flare on songs and commonly does “mash-ups”, blending two or more songs together. He also sprinkles in some of his original music. When he is not performing solo, you can find him fronting the alternative rock band “Moon White Sun”.

Tuesday, June 17th is our official Stern Army launch party for Stern Pinball’s latest release by Keith Elwin - King Kong! We have a LIMITED EDITION from Pirate’s Life Pinball in the front taproom right now, so come out and get your practice in for the big day!

It is distilled from organic wheat and Ohio apples.

Let’s do an adult beverage and breakfast all in one! Head to the bar when you arrive to purchase your Bloody Mary ticket. Our bartenders will hook you up with a cup, vodka, and ice, then head to the Food Truck to get a custom made Bloody Mary mix of your liking and your toppers. De-Lishas will be offering 2 levels of toppers for the Bloody Mary, a BASIC and a DELUXE both priced accordingly. We’re switching things up this Summer for Birdfish Euchre League with open bracketed double elimination tournaments each week. No entry fee and win some Birdfish merchandise.

Open tournament play every Tuesday beginning July 1st for 6 consecutive weeks with final GRAND FINALE tournament on Tuesday, August 5th. Sign up at the bar with Amanda between 4 and 6:15 p.m. First round of the tournament starts precisely at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom.

Each round will be a timed 15-20 minute game. Winning team with most points in the round will proceed to next round in the tournament. Stick around for extra pickup games if you’re knocked out early.

Summer means no commitment! You can come 1 week or all 6. Have fun, drink some beer and win some prizes. If you don’t have a partner, just show up and we’ll try and find you one.

We reserve the right to kick you out of league for any unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, etc.

• No table talk is allowed, opposing team will be awarded 2 points

• Do not endorse farmers hand, no trump, reverse no trump, ace no face, etc.

• The only technique endorsed is "screw the dealer"

• If a player goes alone and takes all 5 tricks, 4 points are awarded

• If the team that does not call trump takes 3 tricks, 2 points are awarded

• Teams will be able to use a substitute player each week if needed, but one player on the 2 member roster must be in attendance. Teams will be allowed to use one substitute team for one week only in the event they can't attend due to sickness, vacation, etc.

• If a team does not show and no substitute team is available to play, the team that is  present will receive points based on the overall average score for league play that day.

• Revoke Rule will result in 2 points to the team it occurred against and the hand is immediately ended (4 points will be awarded it on a loner).  The Revoke Rule is an occurrence where a player fails to follow suit when possible.

• Semi-final and final matches in tournament will have a referee

• Random generator is used to set team numbers during league play

Kick off the Jubilee weekend at Birdfish! We’re throwing a party the night before the 31st Annual Buckeye German Jubilee VW Show & Swap Meet at Jim’s Custom V.W.’s in Columbiana.

We’re bringing back a classic… a beer that was brewed at our original Up Top location back in 2018 — The Hoppy Hippy, a 4.7% West Coast Session IPA which will be available for the first time in cans on Friday, July 11th. New custom label artwork from Jason Vaughn of Hex Letterpress. The can release and tapping will happen at 6PM with our friends from EMPI, VW Trends Magazine, and the man himself, Jim Papania of Jim’s Custom V.W.’s

To celebrate this collaborative beer release, we’ve invited Punk Willie for a live music performance in the Ballroom and DJ sets from our friends at Golden String Radio starting around 6pm after the first pour of The Hoppy Hippy in the front taproom.

What’s Grandpa Smokin’ BBQ will be setup on the patio serving all day from Noon to 9pm. For desert or maybe just to satisfy your sweet tooth, check out Touch The Moon Candy Saloon VW Bus Pop-Up on the patio.

Join Golden String Radio in the Ballroom the 2nd Friday of every month from 7-9PM for some tunes, a little trivia, and FREE SOCKS! We’re donating $1 per per poured during the event to our Golden String Friends. Golden String will pass around an old Folger’s coffee can to support St. Jude’s Hospital in Tennessee. Golden String client, Susan Cramer, collects loose change for St. Jude’s. Susan, a friend with cerebral palsy, a woman with severe physical disabilities, rolls the change and sends it to Tennessee. Please bring your spare change to donate. We will clean off the lint.

Golden String Inc. is a 501(c)3 not for profit incorporation with a sole purpose to improve the quality of life for adults with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and traumatic brain injury. Join certified Yoga instructor (RYT 200) Victoria Rhodes in the Ballroom every Tuesday for Namasbrew Yoga and wash your stress away with an all-levels for all bodies yoga class at the brewery. For $10 you will receive an hours worth of bliss and a beer on tap afterwards (or before we won’t judge you). BYOM (bring your own mat) and any other props that might support your flow.

Taproom doors open at 4pm. Check in with your beertender early upon arrival to sign up, purchase your spot, and sign the general fitness waiver release form. Class size is limited to 25 people and yoga begins promptly at 5:00 pm. Open tournament play every Tuesday beginning July 1st for 6 consecutive weeks with final GRAND FINALE tournament on Tuesday, August 5th. Sign up at the bar with Amanda between 4 and 6:15 p.m. First round of the tournament starts precisely at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom.

Each round will be a timed 15-20 minute game. Winning team with most points in the round will proceed to next round in the tournament. Stick around for extra pickup games if you’re knocked out early.

Summer means no commitment! You can come 1 week or all 6. Have fun, drink some beer and win some prizes. If you don’t have a partner, just show up and we’ll try and find you one.

$1 off all beers on Tuesdays for anyone participating in Birdfish Euchre League.

We reserve the right to kick you out of league for any unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, etc.

• First dealer determined by first turned up black jack

• Do not endorse farmers hand, no trump, reverse no trump, ace no face, etc.

• The only technique endorsed is "screw the dealer"

• If a player goes alone and takes all 5 tricks, 4 points are awarded

• If the team that does not call trump takes 3 tricks, 2 points are awarded

• Teams will be able to use a substitute player each week if needed, but one player on the 2 member roster must be in attendance. Teams will be allowed to use one substitute team for one week only in the event they can't attend due to sickness, vacation, etc.

• If a team does not show and no substitute team is available to play, the team that is  present will receive points based on the overall average score for league play that day.

• Revoke Rule will result in 2 points to the team it occurred against and the hand is immediately ended (4 points will be awarded it on a loner).  The Revoke Rule is an occurrence where a player fails to follow suit when possible.

• Semi-final and final matches in tournament will have a referee

• Random generator is used to set team numbers during league play

In 2020 we began fundraising to help St. Jude Preschool open their doors, and the last five years it has helped them fund their expansion and grow their program and expand Montessori for the children of Columbiana, so this year we’re continuing the fun and fundraising for this awesome local preschool. You all know Amanda Robb… She is the dog lovin’ beer-tender here at Birdfish and also the Administrator/Teacher for St. Jude Preschool. She has a passion for education and has brought a true Montessori experience to Columbiana.

We’re thrilled to present the 4th Annual SoundWaves & IPAs Music Festival in support of The Summit FM Marilyn Stroud Music Alive Program happening this year on Saturday, July 19th. Expect to hear live music from local bands and musicians all day in the Ballroom along with an impressive lineup of IPAs, but this year they’re not all ours… we’re excited to be partnering with our local brewery homies and putting guest IPAs on tap as well! There will also be one NEW special event can release and tapping this year… we’re bringing you Zed Lupulin III, our 3rd variant of this hopped up rock star 9.9% Hazy Triple IPA.

The Music Alive program was formed by The Summit FM to help young musicians in our local schools realize their dreams and learn the joys of playing an instrument. Through this program, The Summit collects and repairs instruments, and sees they get placed in the hands of kids who will truly appreciate them.

Do YOU have an unloved, dusty and forgotten “gently used” musical instrument in your attic, closet or basement? There are dozens of kids who’d love the chance to learn to play it… kids whose families simply can’t afford the expense of buying their child a musical instrument. Bring these instruments to the SoundWaves & IPAs event on Saturday, July 19th for donation. The Summit staff will be here to collect these instruments and make sure they get to kids who need them. We’re opening early at 11 a.m. once a month for Bloody Mary Sundays! We invited De-Lishas Food Truck to bring their FAMOUS Bloody Mary Cocktails to the brewery. We have a full liquor license in the taproom and we’ll be featuring a Columbus, Ohio made Vodka from High Bank Distillery. High Bank Vodka is clean and crisp with a hint of sweetness. It is distilled from organic wheat and Ohio apples.

Let’s do an adult beverage and breakfast all in one! Head to the bar when you arrive to purchase your Bloody Mary ticket. Our bartenders will hook you up with a cup, vodka, and ice, then head to the Food Truck to get a custom made Bloody Mary mix of your liking and your toppers. De-Lishas will be offering 2 levels of toppers for the Bloody Mary, a BASIC and a DELUXE both priced accordingly. Jeff will display the questions on our TV screens and offer up a variety of interesting trivia categories including: Movies, History, Music, TV, Science, and more. Bring your friends, family, and co-workers to join in on the FUN with America's Best Live Trivia Game - DJ Trivia!

Each week teams will be awarded these brewery gift card prizes: 1st Place: $30 gift card, 2nd Place: $20 gift card & 3rd Place: $10 gift card. In addition to these weekly gift card prizes, we will be awarding our top teams at the end of each month with Birdfish swag!

We’re switching things up this Summer for Birdfish Euchre League with open bracketed double elimination tournaments each week. No entry fee and win some Birdfish merchandise.

Open tournament play every Tuesday beginning July 1st for 6 consecutive weeks with final GRAND FINALE tournament on Tuesday, August 5th. Sign up at the bar with Amanda between 4 and 6:15 p.m. First round of the tournament starts precisely at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom.

Each round will be a timed 15-20 minute game. Winning team with most points in the round will proceed to next round in the tournament. Stick around for extra pickup games if you’re knocked out early.

Summer means no commitment! You can come 1 week or all 6. Have fun, drink some beer and win some prizes. If you don’t have a partner, just show up and we’ll try and find you one.

$1 off all beers on Tuesdays for anyone participating in Birdfish Euchre League.

We reserve the right to kick you out of league for any unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, etc.

​Birdfish House Rules:

• Accumulate as many points as possible per timed 20 minute game, no limit. 

• First dealer determined by first turned up black jack

• Dealer offers player to the right to cut

• Player does not need to have a bauer or trump in their hand to call up a dealer

• No table talk is allowed, opposing team will be awarded 2 points

• Do not endorse farmers hand, no trump, reverse no trump, ace no face, etc.

• The only technique endorsed is "screw the dealer"

• If a player goes alone and takes all 5 tricks, 4 points are awarded

• If the team that does not call trump takes 3 tricks, 2 points are awarded

• Teams will be able to use a substitute player each week if needed, but one player on the 2 member roster must be in attendance. Teams will be allowed to use one substitute team for one week only in the event they can't attend due to sickness, vacation, etc.

• If a team does not show and no substitute team is available to play, the team that is  present will receive points based on the overall average score for league play that day.

• Revoke Rule will result in 2 points to the team it occurred against and the hand is immediately ended (4 points will be awarded it on a loner).  The Revoke Rule is an occurrence where a player fails to follow suit when possible.

• Semi-final and final matches in tournament will have a referee

• Random generator is used to set team numbers during league play
