We’re planning to release our 2nd annual collaboration ‘Off The High Bank’ Barrel Aged Beer Series with High Bank Distillery on Saturday, January 17th at the fest! If everything works out with beer production, canning, etc. you will be able to taste the barrel aged beer that matches up with one of these High Bank Whiskeys. A beer tasting included with this bonus whiskey tasting side-by-side.

BONUS TASTE NO. 2: Shinobu Barrel Cooperage will be setup in the in the Ballroom with a special Buffalo Trace Bourbon tasting. A side-by-side tasting comparing the difference between Buffalo Trace aged in one of their 5 liter barrels for just 4 months, which is compared to a 53 gallon bourbon barrel aging over 1 year. Shinobu Barrel Cooperage is a local group in Mahoning county building quality barrels from raw materials to a finished aging barrel. Some of their barrels will also be on display, for retail sale, and custom orders accepted for future build. These aged american white oak barrels come with #3 char level and are available in 5 or 10 liter barrel size. The barrel is ready for your any spirit you choose. This allows the product to infinity age only making it better. As the product from differential atmospheric pressure flows in and out of the white oak while the charred inside acts as a filter removing unwanted flavors.

• Tim Wolfe (Youngstown, Ohio) - Tim has jokes for days! Or at least a little over an hour. Winner of numerous comedy competitions (and the forever champion of the now-defunct Youngstown Comedy Festival) Tim’s jokes about poorly making sandwiches are surpassed only by his jokes about poorly working the register at PetSmart. Tim has opened for Tony Hinchcliffe, almost opened for Bob Saget, and filled in on a show Bobcat Goldthwaite didn’t wanna do. Tim is currently a headlining performer on the Brewery Comedy Tour and a staple at comedy clubs within a 50 mile radius of his mom’s house.

• Samantha Archual (Canton, Ohio) - Samantha’s uniquely silly and dark sense of humor continues to delight the audiences of Hilarities 4th Street Theatre, Funny Bone, Don’t Tell Comedy, The Funny Stop Comedy Club, The Funny Farm and more! She recently headlined two shows in The Cleveland Comedy Festival, was featured in Sam Tallent/Raj Suresh/Kaz Sparkman’s Big Diamond Comedy Festival and she isn’t stopping there!

“Seasons of Swing” is a trio that digs deep into the roots of popular music in America. Drawing from both the great jazz and pop music writers of the first half of the 20th century; “Seasons of Swing” is dedicated to bringing these legendary songs back into the limelight.

• Autumn Carper (NE Ohio) - Autumn is a regular on stages all over Northeast Ohio. Her comedy reflects her rich experience as a teacher and “cool aunt”, and her dark sense of humor and blunt observations have lit up clubs with laughter in Canton, Sarasota, Vegas, and any other dive bar that will have her.

• Tim Wolfe (Youngstown, Ohio) - Tim has jokes for days! Or at least a little over an hour. Winner of numerous comedy competitions (and the forever champion of the now-defunct Youngstown Comedy Festival) Tim’s jokes about poorly making sandwiches are surpassed only by his jokes about poorly working the register at PetSmart. Tim has opened for Tony Hinchcliffe, almost opened for Bob Saget, and filled in on a show Bobcat Goldthwaite didn’t wanna do. Tim is currently a headlining performer on the Brewery Comedy Tour and a staple at comedy clubs within a 50 mile radius of his mom’s house.

• Samantha Archual (Canton, Ohio) - Samantha’s uniquely silly and dark sense of humor continues to delight the audiences of Hilarities 4th Street Theatre, Funny Bone, Don’t Tell Comedy, The Funny Stop Comedy Club, The Funny Farm and more! She recently headlined two shows in The Cleveland Comedy Festival, was featured in Sam Tallent/Raj Suresh/Kaz Sparkman’s Big Diamond Comedy Festival and she isn’t stopping there!

• Ryan Bissett (Warren, Ohio) - Ryan is a local adult attempting a staged comedy. He plays music and has a few nice hats.

• Stephen Lenhart (Columbiana, Ohio) - Stephen lives here Columbiana and tends bar at Birdfish . Remember if we don’t sin a little Jesus died for nothing.

Join Golden String Radio in the Ballroom the 2nd Friday of every month from 7-9PM for some tunes, a little trivia, and FREE SOCKS! We’re donating $1 per per poured during the event to our Golden String Friends. Golden String will pass around an old Folger’s coffee can to support St. Jude’s Hospital in Tennessee. Golden String client, Susan Cramer, collects loose change for St. Jude’s. Susan, a friend with cerebral palsy, a woman with severe physical disabilities, rolls the change and sends it to Tennessee. Please bring your spare change to donate. We will clean off the lint.

Vinyl Record Swap happening Sunday, February 15th from 1PM to 4PM in the Ballroom. Join us for an afternoon of record swapping & spinning. Join us Sunday, February 22rd for a beer in support of All About The Pawz, a local non-profit organization based in Austintown, Ohio. This year we’re brewing a collaboration small batch West Coast Pale Ale, called “Surfs Pup” and tapping it at Noon with an Arc Can Cooler glass inclusive for the first 144 pints poured. We will be donating 100% of proceeds from Surfs Pup beer and glass inclusive sales to All About The Pawz.

All About the Pawz is a dog rescue located in Youngstown, Ohio. Our shelter is run strictly by volunteers, and we depend on community fundraising and private donations to fund our mission of finding forever homes for all dogs. Our dogs come to us from overcrowded pounds, found as strays, or as owner surrenders. Many have been abused, neglected, starved, or abandoned; and they are often scared, hurt, sick, and in need of love.

Last year, Pawz & Pours was a huge success! We were able to raise almost $16,000 with the support of this community. We have exciting new things to offer for this year!

• “Tundra Tuxedo” performing live music in The Ballroom from 2-5 p.m.

• Kips Tacos & Toasted Traveler Food Trucks both setup on the patio serving from 12-7 p.m.

• “BarkBar” set up to order a cocktail for your pup!

• Tons of raffle prizes, including overnight stays!

• Limited edition Surfs Pup / Pawz & Pours tshirt along with other merch will be sold at the event. We have Dog Goodie Bags again this year and they are better than ever!

• Special appearances from adoptable dogs!

All fundraising proceeds help to provide care for our dogs and to pay for shelter expenses.  As a non-profit organization, we could not continue our mission without the help of supportive community members.

Our goal is to give every dog in our reach the chance at a loving, happy home like they deserve!

Did I hear BINGO?

Join certified Yoga instructor (RYT 200) Victoria Rhodes in the Ballroom every Tuesday for Namasbrew Yoga and wash your stress away with an all-levels for all bodies yoga class at the brewery. For $10 you will receive an hours worth of bliss and a beer on tap afterwards (or before we won’t judge you). BYOM (bring your own mat) and any other props that might support your flow.

Taproom doors open at 4pm. Check in with your beertender early upon arrival to sign up, purchase your spot, and sign the general fitness waiver release form. Class size is limited to 25 people and yoga begins promptly at 5:00 pm. We cannot guarantee your spot in the class. If you arrive late and/or do not RSVP you may not be able to attend. Class size based upon space available in the Ballroom activity space. We want everyone to have a comfortable and safe space to practice yoga.

If you do not drink beer and still would like to attend, the cost is still $10, but you get any non-alcoholic beverage available in cans, bottles, etc.

Birdfish Brewing is excited to bring you… DJ Trivia each and every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

DJ Trivia is a Fun, Live, Interactive Trivia Game that includes you, your team, other teams, and Birdfish’s own, Jeff Good as your live DJ Trivia host. Jeff will display the questions on our TV screens and offer up a variety of interesting trivia categories including: Movies, History, Music, TV, Science, and more. Bring your friends, family, and co-workers to join in on the FUN with America's Best Live Trivia Game - DJ Trivia!

Each week teams will be awarded these brewery gift card prizes: 1st Place: $30 gift card, 2nd Place: $20 gift card & 3rd Place: $10 gift card. In addition to these weekly gift card prizes, we will be awarding our top teams at the end of each month with Birdfish swag!

Join Tabletop Station every 4th Friday from 6-10pm for a night of fun board games and craft beer in the Ballroom. Whether you are a seasoned gamer or new to board games we have something for everyone. Our teachers will be available to help anyone learn a new game or field any questions. Bring a group of friends or come solo and make new friends. No fee or cost to play, it’s FREE — The Tabletop Station will bring hundreds of games for you to check out, both classics and new indie games. A great night to test out games and learn how to play them before you’re buying them for your home to play with family and friends.
