​Points will be accumulated during 5 weeks of league play on Tuesdays from October 7th to November 4th, followed by a seeded tournament in week 6 on November 11th.

Entry Fee of $20 per team for league play.  100% payout during final tournament.

Play begins at 7 p.m. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early. Each team will play (3) 20 minute games per night against 3 other teams (10 minute beer break in between games). Stick around for extra pickup games after league play from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

We reserve the right to kick you out of league for any unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, etc.

​Birdfish House Rules:

• Accumulate as many points as possible per timed 20 minute game, no limit. 

• First dealer determined by first turned up black jack

• Dealer offers player to the right to cut

• Player does not need to have a bauer or trump in their hand to call up a dealer

• No table talk is allowed, opposing team will be awarded 2 points

• Do not endorse farmers hand, no trump, reverse no trump, ace no face, etc.

• The only technique endorsed is "screw the dealer"

• If a player goes alone and takes all 5 tricks, 4 points are awarded

• If the team that does not call trump takes 3 tricks, 2 points are awarded

• Teams will be able to use a substitute player each week if needed, but one player on the 2 member roster must be in attendance. Teams will be allowed to use one substitute team for one week only in the event they can't attend due to sickness, vacation, etc.

• If a team does not show and no substitute team is available to play, the team that is  present will receive points based on the overall average score for league play that day.

• Revoke Rule will result in 2 points to the team it occurred against and the hand is immediately ended (4 points will be awarded it on a loner).  The Revoke Rule is an occurrence where a player fails to follow suit when possible.

• Semi-final and final matches in tournament will have a referee

• Random generator is used to set team numbers during league play

Golden String client, Susan Cramer, collects loose change for St. Jude’s. Susan, a friend with cerebral palsy, a woman with severe physical disabilities, rolls the change and sends it to Tennessee. We’re once again partnering with Jacob’s Heart to collect new toys and gifts for the children staying at Akron Children’s Hospital Beeghly Boardman Campus over the holidays.

All patrons who wish to compete, sing, or spectate are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for entry into the Ballroom.

If you forget a toy, you can still enter with a suggested $10 donation to Jacob’s Heart.

💖 ABOUT JACOB’S HEART:

Jacob was born on April 17, 1995, with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a rare condition where the left side of the heart is underdeveloped.

Though his life was short — he passed away at just 10 weeks old — his spirit lives on through this toy drive created in his memory by his mother Nicole Eells and family. Nicole, who works at Akron Children’s Hospital, started the Jacob’s Heart Toy Drive to bring joy to children facing hospital stays over the holidays.

We are proud to partner with the Eells family and Akron Children’s Hospital Boardman Campus once again for this meaningful event.

  • Lea Marra & The River Boys are a high energy bluegrass/folk band inspired by a vast array of genres across the board such as country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, folk, jam bands, and rock. Lea brings her unique tone and strong vocals to her performance which is compared to vocal tones similar to Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Ray, Alanis Morrisette, Natalie Mains, Susan Tedeschi and at times Dolores O'Riordan. Marra's writing style is influenced by Sierra Ferrel, The Chicks, Hot Rize, Dolly Parton and Tyler Childers. Marra's songs speak about her life in the rustbelt of Cleveland, Ohio and the people she has encountered. Mara is inspired by the people around her as well as natures strong presence. The River Boys bring Marra's songs to life with their high energy grassy licks, memorable melodies, and five part harmonies at times. Lea Marra & The River Boys have accomplished a lot in the year of 2024 with the start of their first album released in March 2024, titled Ace Of Cups. After their release, it opened many opportunities in which resulted in them performing on many notable stages along side regional and local heroes.

For $10 you will receive an hours worth of bliss and a beer on tap afterwards (or before we won’t judge you). BYOM (bring your own mat) and any other props that might support your flow.

Taproom doors open at 4pm. Check in with your beertender early upon arrival to sign up, purchase your spot, and sign the general fitness waiver release form. Class size is limited to 25 people and yoga begins promptly at 5:00 pm. Join Golden String Radio in the Ballroom the 2nd Friday of every month from 7-9PM for some tunes, a little trivia, and FREE SOCKS! Golden String client, Susan Cramer, collects loose change for St. Jude’s. Susan, a friend with cerebral palsy, a woman with severe physical disabilities, rolls the change and sends it to Tennessee. Join us for a very special evening of live music in The Ballroom with The Pure Gold Band on Tuesday, Decembe23rd from 6-9 p.m.

The Pure Gold is starting their 50th year of performing real Country Music.  The band has been a staple at the fairs, festivals and events in the Columbiana County area since the beginning.  They bring all of the goodies to the table when they perform with guitars, bass, keys, pedal steel and a real country drummer.  Jeff leads the band playing Honky-Tonk Guitar and doing the majority of the vocal work, Dan is on the Bass and Keys and does another share of vocal work along with killer harmony, Tom hails from Nashville, spent year playing the scene and does the drumming for the band, and Brent is the newcomer playing Guitars and Pedal Steel along with some of the Vocals.  Come see the band you remember from your visits to Ponderosa Park opening for the top country stars and as a kid at the Street Fairs and the Johnny Appleseed Festival.

Put on your favorite Christmas Jumper and Santa hat and join us on Christmas Eve in the taproom for a morning beer and an afternoon of music, bbq, and fun in the ballroom! An Invitation from Lamppost Farm: We invite you to a Christmas Eve service at Birdfish Brewery to join with family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Christmas. Christ was born in a small, unremarkable town, to poor, teenage parents accompanied by a small group of blue-collar shepherds—not exactly the arrival you might expect from the Son of God. We love celebrating His birth with ordinary folks in an ordinary place (with extraordinary beer) where real friendships and real life happen every day. We would love for you to celebrate with us and marvel at the Extraordinary Child born in Bethlehem. Bundle up and bring your own tapered candle for the candlelight service if you can. We will sing some Christmas carols together, read Scripture, and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Join certified Yoga instructor (RYT 200) Victoria Rhodes in the Ballroom every Tuesday for Namasbrew Yoga and wash your stress away with an all-levels for all bodies yoga class at the brewery. For $10 you will receive an hours worth of bliss and a beer on tap afterwards (or before we won’t judge you). BYOM (bring your own mat) and any other props that might support your flow.

Taproom doors open at 4pm. Check in with your beertender early upon arrival to sign up, purchase your spot, and sign the general fitness waiver release form. Class size is limited to 25 people and yoga begins promptly at 5:00 pm.
