Birdfish Brewing Co. presents IKQ (Ian Kinnaman Quartet) for a night of original music in the Ballroom. This event is happening on Wednesday, August 25th with doors/seating beginning at 6:30pm and music starting at 7PM. IKQ is a collection of like-minded musicians who play music based around improvisation. Comprising past members of the YSU jazz program, the group offers fresh, modern arrangements of music by the likes of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Thelonious Monk, and Lennon/McCartney. The band is Darren Thompson (trumpet), Dave Lynn (guitar), Owen Davis (drums), and Ian Kinnaman (bass and compositions).

Opening for IKQ is Caitlin and the Company. Caitlin and the Company is a fusion folk trio in Northeast Ohio. Classically trained and unmistakably versatile, these three music extraordinaires bring to the stage their rootsy and heart-felt songs with jazz flavors, fiery fiddle dance tunes, original fairy ballads and wistful storytelling that harkens back to olden days. Inspired by Irish traditional, Appalachian folk, and a cheeky bit of Mozart, the group anticipates their upcoming debut CD release. Caitlin Hedge, lead vocals, fiddle, guitar. Admission to this seated Birdfish Ballroom Show is $5 per person and will be collected at the door upon entry, 100% of which will go to the musicians.

Birdfish live music shows in the Ballroom offer a unique and intimate space for a seated live music listening experience. The Ballroom pinball machines offer ambient light, but are not to be played during the shows.
