Join us in the Ballroom New Years Eve, Saturday, December 31st for some live local hip-hop music from Red Rose Panic (Akron, Ohio) & Grizzzly (Youngstown, Ohio). Music starts around 6 p.m. with Grizzzly followed by Red Rose Panic from 7 to 9 p.m.
After the show head over to Homestead K&C for an old school hip-hop dance party with DJ Blaze and Ball Drop from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
RED ROSE PANIC — Since 2013, Red Rose Panic, a Dynamic Hip-Hop Band from Akron, Ohio, has independently written and recorded their music while performing at numerous venues across the country. Some of their top bookings include a variety of shows in Cleveland, Machine Gun Kelly's EST Fest, The Number Fest in Athens, Ohio, Sofar Sounds in Los Angeles, New York, Cleveland, Akron and Detroit. The group also headlined Cleveland's BriteWinter festival in early 2020.
With Red Rose Panic, you'll hear more than one type of sound. Inspired by various genres, their live shows and recorded music span the musical spectrum of Rock to Jazz, to Funk to Hip-Hop, which is also highlighted by their diverse fanbase and eclectic improvisational stage performances.
Originally a duo established by frontman/songwriter Luminari and guitarist/producer Styxx, they sought after additional live sounds while planning their first show. After finding their perfect bandmates, they officially formed Red Rose Panic, which consists of 5 members: Luminari on lead vocals, ST1XX on lead guitar, Sledge on drums, SMOKEFACE on bass guitar and Lou on Keyboard. Together, they are determined to etch a lasting impression in their hometown and across the globe, to show that not only is talent located in larger cities, but in the too-often-overlooked Midwest as well.
GRIZZZLY — Grizzzly is an alternative Hip-hop artist from Youngstown, Ohio. Blending together elements of Afro-futurism, soul, jazz, alternative, and hip-hop. Grizzzly has created a sound heavily influenced by Cartoon nostaliga, comedy, realism, progression all his own.
DJ BLAZE — A local legend with an old school hip-hop vinyl collection that is unmatched.
