Chai is a guitar/piano duo consisting of Chase Reiter and Aairo (Aaron Parker) whose group name functions as a double entendre: on one hand, the name Chai serves as a portmanteau of the names Chase and Aairo, and yet on the other hand, as chai tea is made of both light and dark ingredients, so also do Chase and Aairo combine elements of new and old artists. 

On the less-than-modern end of things, Chai draws influence from artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Fleetwood Mac, whereas on the more modern side, listeners will hear pieces written by newer artists like John Mayer, Fleet Foxes, and Guthrie Govan. 

It’s not all covers though; songs written by both artists may be featured in the show as well - and just like Chai’s taste for covers, Chase and Aairo also insist on not putting their songs in one box, appealing to tastes from a broad array of genres.
