Sam Winterberger is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player from Western PA/Eastern Ohio. His musical roots come from classic rock, Folk, blues and punk, drawing influence from artists like Robert Johnson, Taj Mahal, The Black Keys, Justin Townes Earle, Bon Iver and Lenny Kravitz.

Most of his recordings are at home, or in a larger scale home studio owned by a relative.

“It’s just for the joy of playing,” he says.

Winterberger is a “huge [Bob] Dylan fan” and was raised on classic rock but plays a variety of tunes—from Lead Belly, Eric Clapton, and Muddy Waters to Isaac Hayes, Billy Joel, and Pink Floyd.

“A huge part of what I play is ‘60s and ‘70s pop,” he says. “We just try to make it accessible and fun.”
