A Decade of Doing What’s Right

In November of 2015, we opened our doors on South Main Street in Columbiana, Ohio. Just a small taproom with 37 seats, a 1-barrel brewing system, and a whole lot of hope.

From day one, our goal wasn’t just to brew great beer — it was to build something that brought people together. A place where friends, families, and neighbors could gather to laugh, share stories, and create memories over a pint of something crafted right here at home.

As the years have rolled by, Birdfish Brewing has grown, but our roots remain firmly planted in the same soil that got us started — the local fields, farms, and families that make the Mahoning Valley what it is.

We still believe in doing what’s right — sourcing local ingredients whenever we can, supporting our local farmers and small businesses, giving back to the community that continues to lift us up, and living the same values we pour into every glass.

We’ve seen a lot of pints, a lot of faces, and a lot of good times along the way. We’ve brewed beers that celebrate our community, collaborations that highlight our local partners, and hosted events that have become part of the town’s rhythm. Through it all, one thing has stayed constant — YOU! The people who believed in what we were doing, who filled those 37 seats on South Main, and who still show up, year after year, pint after pint.

So, as we raise a glass to 10 incredible years, we want to say THANK YOU — for every cheers, every laugh, every song, every pour. You are the heart of Birdfish, and this milestone belongs as much to you as it does to us.

• THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH at The CAT (Columbiana Arts Theater located at 5 N. Main St, Columbiana, OH 44408)

  • We are excited to kickoff our 10 Year Anniversary at The CAT and support a great local non-profit organization, The Columbiana Cultural Collective.

  • Doors to The CAT will open precisely at 6:30 p.m. with a “Ten Years on Tap” Barrel Glass (pictured) Inclusive with any beer on tap for just $10 — no tickets required, no cover charge, no purchase required. Just come and enjoy the film and live music!

    • There are 416 seats in the theater, but only 288 glasses available, so come early! Limit 1 glass per person.

  • Grab a seat and enjoy a beer out of your new barrel glass and let your ears drink up the delicious sounds of Aimlis who will be jammin’ on stage from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

  • The main feature of the evening is the first theater screening of Birdfish Brewing: 10 Years on Tap, a spotlight feature from local filmmaker and journalist Tristan Hostetter, highlighting the story of how Birdfish Brewing Company came to be.

    • “I wanted to make a project highlighting how Birdfish became a cornerstone of the Columbiana community over the past decade.” —Tristan Hostetter

  • Screening time will start at 7:30 p.m. After the film will be a short Q&A session with Tristan Hostetter followed by more live music from Columbiana’s own Aimlis.

  • Coming early? Or staying late? Stop by the taproom for a bite to eat from Smokin’ T’s BBQ and sing a song with Cool Cat Karaoke in the Ballroom.

• FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21ST

  • Doors open at Noon with optional 16 oz. Nonix 1O Year Anniversary OG Logo Pint Glass Inclusive with select beers on tap. Only 144 available while supplies last. $8 for glass filled w/beer. Limit 1 per person.

  • Birdfish Brewing custom made and locally designed rethemed pinball machine unveiling at 1 p.m. — A collaboration project from A Pirates Life Pinball (Keith Campanelli) & RAT Creative (Dan McRoberts). On display and ready for play!

  • Pickup a Limited Edition OG Logo (Design circa 2010) Tin Tacker in a custom box made in Youngstown, Ohio by The Meridian Design Studio makers of Tintype.Art Metal Posters. Only 30 available.

  • Wagler Farms Food Truck is setting up early and serving from 12-9 p.m.

  • Masala Grill Food Truck is rolling in later serving from 4-9 p.m.

  • Stick around, ‘cause we’re tapping a Single Bourbon Barrel Aged Grynch at 5:30 p.m.! We’re releasing this barrel aged version of our Christmas Ale a little early this year so you can enjoy it before the Columbiana Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Light Up Night hosted by the Columbiana Chamber of Commerce happening Friday, November 21st at 6 p.m. — NOTE: Official Grynch Release scheduled for Wednesday, November 26th at Noon.

  • Live music from The Conkle Brothers in the taproom from 6-9 p.m. — no cover charge.

• SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND

  • The Prodigal Sun returns! Doors open at Noon with the long awaited return of our Nelson Sauvin Double Dry Hopped Dynamo Double IPA. Pouring on tap and available in cans to-go while supplies last.

  • Raven Hanley Ceramics Optional Stein Inclusive for the first 100 beers poured. Every stein is unique — individually hand thrown showing unique shape, custom handle and array of glaze colors. $35 for stein filled with beer. Limit 1 per person.

  • 1/2 OFF DRAFTS ALL DAY SATURDAY! We’re open for 10 hours (12-10 p.m.), celebrating 10 years in business, with 10 beers on tap. Enjoy a different beer every hour on special for 1/2 price! For example, Too Hip To Sip is only $3 a pint from Noon to 1 p.m.

  • Bartell’s Take on Tokyo House & Frytanic Food Truck on the patio all day serving from Noon to 9pm.

  • GAME ON! Rutgers vs. Ohio State Football game and sound on in the Taproom and Ballroom.

  • Live music from Ohayo and Rolling Boxcar International (Times TBD based upon Ohio State Football game time announcement) - no cover charge.

• SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23RD

  • Step back in time to 2015 and remember the flavor of a classic Up Top staple. County Line Pale Ale returns to the tap. Draft only small batch just like the old days. When it’s gone, it’s gone!

  • Smoke Worx Street Cuisine setup all day on the patio! We share an anniversary with our homie Jon Lee who has been setting up at our brewery since 2015. He has dialed in the bbq art over the past 10 years and now operates his traveling BBQ trailer and has a brick and mortar spot here in Columbiana at Firestone Farms.

  • Join us in the Ballroom from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday with live music from Captain Colada, The Complete Yacht Rock Experience - no cover charge. Their song list includes music from Christopher Cross, Little River Band, Steely Dan, Robbie Dupree, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffett, Bread, Doctor Hook, Boz Scaggs, Supertramp and a ton more!
