Join us in the taproom on Thursday, February 10th and help us “Paint the Town Red”, an American Heart Association initiative for Heart Month in February. The proceeds from this fundraiser event will go towards the first in-person Tri-County Go Red For Women event which will take place on Friday, February 25th at Fellows Riverside Garden. We will be donating $1 from every pint poured and 20% of all Harvey’s Finest Irish Red can sales to-go to the cause. Friends of the Heart Association will be here hosting a 50/50, raffling off some Birdfish swag and other baskets along with educating customers on heart health.
More women die from heart disease and stroke that any other condition, including all forms of cancer combined. The priority issues of focus for this event are spreading awareness through providing education, closing gender gaps in research through funding female focused studies, and addressing inequities in access and quality of care through advocacy. As a supporter of the Go Red for Women movement, you will help the American Heart Association (AHA) save more lives by ensuring women know their risks, encouraging them to take action, and providing the tools and support needed to lead a heart healthy life.
Here are stories of local survivors that because of the advancements in research from the American Heart Association are both doing well and we’re able to share their story for other:
