Ohio Pint Day is a fundraiser that directly supports the mission of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association: to promote, preserve and unify Ohio’s craft brewing industry.
Ohio Pint Day will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 at more than 180 participating breweries across the state. Craft beer enthusiasts are invited to purchase a limited-edition collectible pint glass available exclusively at the participating brewery taprooms — we will have 100 of these pint glasses available when we open at 4 p.m. on Tuesday 9/26.
In partnership with OCBA member breweries and Boelter Beverage, $1 from every glass will be donated to the OCBA.
We commissioned Amy Kollar Anderson, co-owner of Nowhere in Particular Cabinet of Curiosities in Kettering, to design the 2023 Ohio Pint Day glass. Here’s her statement about the design:
“I am honored to design this year’s Ohio Pint Day glass! When I was brainstorming ideas, I thought about looking at the image as you rotated the glass and something that would be light-hearted and whimsical. I pictured a Victorian style chaise and who might lounge there. Visions of a goddess (perhaps Ninkasi, Goddess of Beer?) enjoying a pint came to mind, but she needed something more to create an engaging narrative. As a proud Daytonian, I wanted something to represent my city and thought about our baseball team, the Dayton Dragons. I am also a fan of mythical creatures and Game of Thrones. I concluded that surrounding this lovely lady should be three hungry dragons begging for a sip!”
Ohio On Tap brewery passport app users will also be able to collect a bonus stamp by purchasing the glass. Users will be able to submit manual stamp request selfies with their glass from Sept. 26 through Oct. 1 to receive the stamp.
