What is The Resilience Project?
The Resilience Project is the response of a healthy community collaborating to utilize its resources to produce and deliver products that create more health and vitality during our community’s time of need. AND, it is a celebration of that collaboration through food & drink, festivities, and educational experiences.
Our hope is to offer these gifts free small gifts to those with an East Palestine zip code:
FREE Wood chips/ Mushroom compost for gardening & landscaping
FREE Packages of sunflower seeds
FREE Vouchers for willow tree cuttings
Saturday, August 5th - 4-9pm at Lamppost Farm
Lamppost Farm meats and Miller's Mushrooms prepared and sold by Babcia's Lunchbox Food Truck from East Palestine (all proceeds go to Chef Elisha Veon to offset impact of EP train derailment on her business).
Collaborative Mushroom Beers (and other styles as well), brewed by Birdfish, Noble Creature, and Modern Methods Breweries, sold and served onsite.
Educational demonstrations include:
Inoculating fresh wood chips with Oyster mushroom spores to facilitate soil remediation in gardens and flower beds
Mushroom log workshop (make and take workshop)
Brent Miller from Miller's Mushrooms will speak about importance of mushrooms in food and agriculture
Garden tour at Lamppost Farm gardens
